Furry Fiesta is Looking for volunteers!

Furry Fiesta needs volunteers to help with it's many panels, activities, and operations. By working just 15 hours over the length of the convention, you can earn a free membership for Furry Fiesta 2010.

The Furry Fiesta staff will need help with Registration, Security, Dealer's Den set-up and tear-down, Internet room set-up and tear-down, Charity auction, general clean-up, and more! You don't have to work in just one place; you can pick where you'd like to help, providing that there is a need for help there at the time.

If you don't work enough hours to earn a free Furry Fiesta 2010 membership, we'll still thank you with something special. And all volunteers will receive a hearty pawshake, a slap on the back, and the joy of knowing that Staff really appreciated the help!

Where, when, and why we need volunteers:

Friday-Saturday, February 20th-21st

  • Operations Volunteers. Various areas may need help hauling items in and setting up Friday morning.
  • Registration Volunteers. Want to help hand out badges or check folks in? We can certainly use you!
  • Door Guards. There are some convention areas that require Furry Fiesta badges to enter. We'll need several sharp-eyed volunteers to man the doors to these areas to make sure the riffraff don't get in!
  • Charity Auction Assistants. The charity auction may need some folks backstage to help organize the items and to man the radio. We may also need runners at the auction itself.
  • Internet Room Volunteers. We have a special need for night-owls to keep an eye on the Internet Room between the hours of midnight and 8 AM. Hours worked in this late-night capacity will count double. If you will be available to help out during this time, please contact tigerwolf@tigerden.com in advance.
  • A/V Assistants. We may need a few furs with steady hands to hold lights and help run and tape down cables.
  • Video Room Volunteers. The video room will need a few volunteers to help keep things on schedule and keep watch over the equipment.
  • Headless Lounge Assistants. Weary fursuiters will be grateful for your help as they stop in to cool off.
  • Art Show Volunteers. The Art Show staff can use help in getting artists checked in, signing up bidders, and making sure everything flows smoothly.
  • Gofers. We'll need you to go fer this and go fer that. This can involve anything from helping carry boxes to running messages.
